nostalgia certainly isn't what it used to be.

rockbookIt seems that my cult video game 'A Rock Star Ate My Hamster', BANNED from the multiples, has attracted the attention of America's Rolling Stone magazine, a mere 20 years after it's initial release.

Totally unavailable by now of course, unless you know different, the game features in the Stoner's Best 50 Video Games of All Time feature.

Billy Hologram is a false messiah who owes me a tenner

With the release of the Infinity Tuesday ep more astute readers might like to follow a link to an interview I did with the the punk fanzine trakmarx concerning the dogtown diaries. All the tracks on the ep are from the original draft of the diaries, which recently came to light under a copy of Jenny Fish's autobiography.

If there's one thing that my audio collection Mabinogion, The Four Branches has taught me it's that a large market exists outside of Wales for all things Welsh and Welsh (Welsh language and about Wales - Cymraeg and Cymreig).
So, less than a week after trawling amazon for books on Wales, books in Welsh, and books for Welsh learners, I've set up - books about Wales and for Welsh learners in the 'UK' and - books about Wales and for Welsh learners in the US. Nice typeface too.

Thanks to everyone who made my Mabinogion, The Four Branches worth working on. Initial interest has been very good, particularly from overseas.
Which has given me a few minutes to look at one of my other best works, Ask to Relax, a remarkable technique to control negative emotions and even create positive ones. So, in the spirit of peace, love and understanding, not to mention general credit crunch woes the price has been slashed. Go there now and chill.

only now can it be told...

mabinogionWhere did the summer go? I'll tell you where it went. On my new audio collection Mabinogion, The Four Branches that's where. Don't take my word for it of course, but this Welsh Epic is a jewel in the crown of Celtic storytelling.
Oh yes. Presentation art inserts, bonus introduction CD, it's got them all.
So, to listen to a few tracks online, head to the website now in your best pointy hat and shawl. Now I need a rest.

Ah yes Goblins, stroppy relations of the Fairy Folk. I always admire that in a nearly-forgotten species.
However there's nothing stroppy at, only a heady mix of art and craft, conscious living and creativity.
And I nearly forgot - coblynes is a female goblin. Well obviously.

act as though you have everything - how does that feel?

A while ago a thought crossed my mind - a strange, liberating thought which made the hairs on my neck stand on end:
'I probably have everything I need'.

I looked at the books on my shelves - 'Yeah, probably enough information for one lifetime there. No need to browse amazon today.'

I looked at the CDs in my collection - 'Oh yes, almost certainly enough great music there for one person. Something for every mood and occasion. I could live on a desert island with that.'

I looked at my family, my house, even dare I say it my bank account. Enough love, enough room, a certain amount of money. Because if you decide that you have everything, there's very little left to buy. Or to want, to lack, to be unhappy about, even if you don't really have everything after all.

There was also the thought, or the confidence that if there was something I really did want, or need, I probably had the resources to get it. Maybe not the money, but probably the means somehow, someday.

I'm certainly not rich. But I probably could be by now if I really needed to be, for what I need to do. Or I probably could be at some point if I need to be to do something I need to really do.

You know I don't think it's a matter of settling for what you have, of doing without or accepting second best. More a realization that if you can be happy now, content with where you are today, right now at this second, you've probably got life sorted out. Just for this instant we call now.

Give it a go. Decide that you have everything you probably ever need, or the means to get it.

Try on that thought for style, how does it fit, what does it do for you, right now?

random bloat

Far be it from me to bloat on about my Wii Fit age (a mere 15 years younger than my ahem 'real' self).
No, what interests me is the compulsion as a responsible parent to encourage the youngsters to play on the thing, now a personal fitness trainer and all-round force for good.
'Stop! Don't do your homework now! You haven't played Wii Fit yet!'
Confusion reigns supreme.

Software for Welsh learners. Not much about is there?
Well, cyfeillion, today is some sort of a milestone.
'The Cadw Swn Welsh Vocabulary Booster' is a new piece of software that runs on Windows PCs, Apple Macs, and even Linux machines.
I'd take a look at if I were you. Hwyl.

Remembering to be happy

It should be noted that Ask to Relax, the astonishing new technique for generating positive moods and emotions (as well as controlling negative ones) is now available on CD.
Now anyone with less than an hour to spare can choose to be happy, relaxed, and generally up-beat. I kid you not.
